The Investment in your dog's happiness

One-to-one sessions take place in your own home and start from £250 depending on location.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What does the price include?

  • Full assessment of your dog (or dogs) to ascertain the root cause and or potential environmental influences contributing towards the exacerbation or development of unwanted behavioural issues. You will be made aware of the cause of the behavioural issue and will actively take part in the solution.
  • A clear plan of action will be put in place to turn unwanted behaviours around and re-establish a calm and balanced relationship between dog and owner based on implementing the re-direction of self-taught unwanted behaviours from the dog.
  • A report is provided covering everything that is visited throughout the session to include specific pointers relevant specifically for the dog worked with. This should be followed each day with consistency from the owner/s for a bare minimum of the following two months.
  • In addition to this, support by phone or WhatsApp video is available for the life of your pet at no extra charge.

How long will the session take?

The session will last up to 4 hours, but I do not clock watch.

Why do you not split the sessions into several shorter sessions?

I do not drip feed information into shorter sessions over time as this is a more effective way for me to impart information and guarantee understanding from the client. My clients also find this more cost effective.

Where will the session take place?

The session will take place both inside and out, depending on specific requirements.

What methods do you use?

No harsh methods such as prong collars, shock collars, shouting or beating are ever used.

Equally, distraction techniques involving food, toys and excessive verbal communication will be kept to a bare minimum.

What else do you go over?

  • Clients will be helped to understand and recognise specific aspects of their own dog’s body language, eye contact and verbal communication, as well as any contributing environmental factors that may be relevant.
  • The owner will learn how to communicate with their dog from a point of view that the dog understands, rather than relying solely on manmade constructs such as obedience training.

What is the difference between Training and Behaviour issues?

Behavioural problems are exactly that and cannot always be resolved with training involving food or toy-based distraction. The solutions are achieved by providing lifestyle changes and adjustments to daily interactions rather than relying on isolated training techniques. This removes the need for owners to set aside specific set times each day to engage in training exercises, but rather utilises adjustments to day-to-day interactions between dog and owner, to find effective solutions. Once behaviour issues are addressed and resolved, you will find that training techniques are either not required or that your dog is far more receptive, and the techniques are more effective as you and your dog now understand each other.
